PARIS – The Head Custodian Chinese Auction and Aspire Higher Bake Sale will be held on Saturday, March 5, in the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School cafeteria. The doors will open at 11 a.m. and the auction will begin at 1 p.m.

One of the items to be auctioned will be a full-size handmade quilt done in various shades of blue in the “Limerick Log Cabin” design. Rachel Maloon of Norway made the quilt.

Other large items being offered include a cord of wood, 100 gallons of heating oil from Dead River, an upright vacuum and gift certificates from local businesses.

A hot and cold luncheon buffet will be available, including barbecued chicken, baked beans, chop suey, baked ham with pineapple, coleslaw, potato salad, garden salad and garlic bread. The buffet will includes a beverage and dessert for $5 for adults, $3 for children 10 and under, and free for children 3 and under. There will also be a value meal consisting of a hot dog. chips and drink for $3.

Last year the event raised $3,500 for scholarships that helped seven students go on to college. In the event of snow, the auction will be held on Sunday, March 6.
