Leading the police on a high-speed chase is not a smart thing to do. It is a good way for someone to get hurt or even killed. Therefore, I believe it would be in the best interest for everyone to have a law that makes it mandatory for those convicted of trying to elude police with a high-speed chase to spend a year in jail without parole. Maybe then teenagers or anyone would think twice before they did it.
Some teenagers don’t think before they act, and that causes a lot of their problems. When they realize that what they are doing is wrong, it is too late.
I also think a person should be at least 18 before being eligible for a driver’s license.
Individuals could also help by not leaving keys in their parked cars.
