ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Steve Lambert tossed six shutout innings of one-hit ball to lead St, Joseph’s to a 14-0 vicotry over Wisconsin Lutheran.

Andy Exley, Derek McIntosh, Andrew Wood and Nick Arno feasted on Warrior pitching with two hits apiece. McIntosh ripped a two-run homer in the fifth inning and finished with three RBIs for the Monks (4-1). Charlie Furbush, Mark Clapp and Exley each added two RBIs.

Lambert fanned eight and gave up two walks. Matt Herbert’s single was the lone hit for Wisconsin-Lutheran.

New Jersey College 14, Husson 4

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Hard-throwing Joe Dalessandro struck out 10 batters as Husson dropped a 14-4 decision to New Jersey College.

Dalessandro allowed two earned runs, walked one and limited Husson to five hits. Aaron Brideau had the only extra base hit for the Braves, a double that drove in two runs in the third.

Husson held a slim 3-2 lead when starter Chris Seargent got into trouble in the fourth. A walk and two singles later, Blake Bullis ripped a grand slam.

St. Joe’s sweeps

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Kahler Dowling tossed a complete game three-hitter to lead St. Joseph’s to a 4-3 victory over Simmons in its season opener.

The Monks posted an 11-8 victory over Emmanuel in the nightcap.

Dowling allowed three earned runs and struck out eight. The Monks got on the board in the first as Allyson Ferguson singled and Helene Liaci belted a home run.

Helene Liaci led St. Joe’s in Game 2 by hitting a triple and a home run. Liaci knocked in three runs.
