GARDINER – “Alive! From Johnson Hall” and host Martin Swinger welcome the Dave Rowe Trio at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center, 280 Water St.

It is the second program in the 2005 Alive! series and .

The concerts are taped by Adelphia Channel 9 television to air throughout the year.

Dave is the son of the late Tom Rowe from the world-famous Schooner Fare. The Dave Rowe Trio describes its music as “High Energy, Neo-Celtic, Newgrass.” Dave leads with vocals, and plays guitar, piano, and tin whistle. He has performed across the United States with his friends, Ed Howe on fiddle and mandolin, and Kevin O’Reilly on bass.

They are known for their solid, soaring harmonies and burning instrumentals.
