LEWISTON – Lucienne A. Mitchell, 88, formerly of 123 Crowley Road, Lewiston, and of Maison Marcotte, died Friday, March 11, at the d’Youville Pavilion Nursing Home.

Born in Lewiston on Jan. 23, 1917, she was the daughter of Alfred and Alfreda Dulac Bussiere. Educated locally, she was married to Gerard J. Mitchell, who passed away on May 11, 1961.

She was a member of Holy Cross Parish, and was active in Les Dames de St. Croix, Holy Cross Senior Citizens, for which she served a four-year term as treasurer, Lewiston Senior Citizens, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. For 10 years, she managed a photo lab and camera store on Staten Island, N.Y.

Survivors include two sisters, Catherine Lupardo of Lewiston, and Lauretta and her husband, George Rainville, of Lewiston; three brothers, Rosario and his wife, Gertrude, of Auburn, Gerald and his wife, Carmen, of Lewiston, and Bertrand and his wife, Lorette, of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers and their wives, Ovila and Louiseann, and Robert and Joan.
