GORHAM – A limited number of tickets for the 2005 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship Finals at the Jane P. Batten Center on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, Va., will go on sale Wednesday morning starting at 10:00 a.m. at the University of Southern Maine’s Costello Sports Complex on the Gorham campus. Tickets for the four-game package (Friday’s two semifinal games and Saturday’s third place and championship games) are $30.
Tickets will only be sold in the four-game package. Those wishing to purchase tickets must come to the Costello Sports Complex.
A package that includes tickets and round-trip bus transportation from USM to Norfolk, Va., is being offered to USM students, faculty and staff from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. If seats are still available on the bus after 1:00 p.m., they will be made available to the general public. Southern Maine, 30-2 overall, will play Millikin University, 27-2, in the first national semifinal Friday at 4:00 p.m., followed by the University of Scranton, 29-1, taking on Randolph-Macon College, 29-1, at approximately 6:00 p.m.
The third place game will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The national championship game will be at 3:00 p.m.
