LEWISTON – Edith J. Veilleux, 67, of Lisbon Falls, passed away on March 16, at St. Mary’s Hospital, after a long illness.

Born in Nashua, N.H., June 16, 1937, she was the daughter of Richard and May Frenette Sr.

She loved animals of any denomination. She loved gardening and watching it grow, as well as making crafts to give to others. She helped out for the Knights of Columbus and was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon Falls. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved her potato chips and taking long rides.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Claude Cote, of Lisbon Falls; her daughters, Melody Smith and husband, Duane, of Monmouth and Linda Veilleux of Lewiston; sons, Randy Veilleux and wife, Tammy, Mark Veilleux and wife, Karen, all of Poland and Wesley Burgess of Lewiston; a sister, Kathleen Kelley and husband, Brian, of Bradford, N.H., and her children, Kevin, Alecia and Brianna, also of New Hampshire; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Richard Frenette Jr.; husband, Jean Paul Veilleux; and son, Eddie Roy Veilleux.
