I am really upset about the proposed fee for canoes and kayaks. I have one of each and use them maybe once or twice a year. I have had a motor for the canoe in the past but then a fee was imposed for small motors (under 10 horsepower), so I went to an electric motor and a fee was assessed for that, also.

I bought a kayak to paddle. The only reason I have them is they are clean, easy on the environment, quiet and very serene to use. I just can’t believe I’ll have to register the kayak and the canoe. I’m in shock.

Now I will probably sell them both.

We are being taxed to death. How is the state ever going to enforce this without burdening the Warden Service?

I really respect that department, but not this decision.
