BETHEL – The 36th annual Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner will be held on Friday, May 13, at the Grand Summit Hotel at Sunday River Ski Resort.
The chamber will present the following awards: The Henry H. Hastings Award for Citizenship, the Lifetime Achievement Award, the Business of the Year Award, the Forest Products Industry Award, the Public Service Award (for municipal employees/volunteers) and four Employee of the Year awards (for hospitality, retail/service, education and ski industry.)
The chamber is accepting nominations for the awards, which must be submitted to the chamber office by Friday, April 1. Anyone is free to nominate; however, the Employee of the Year awards must be submitted by the employer.
Written nominations should be sent to Awards, P.O. Box 1247, Bethel, ME 04217. All are welcome to attend the dinner. The cost is $30 per person for a buffet dinner. Tables of eight are available for groups. Call the chamber office at 824-2282 for reservations or information.
