JAY – Patricia Ann Cornelio, 59, a lifelong resident of Jay, died Wednesday evening, April 13, at Central Maine Medical Center following a very brief illness.

She was born in Jay on Dec. 2, 1945, the daughter of Anthony and Frances Lake Roy. “Patty” was a 1964 graduate of Jay High School.

On Jan. 28, 1967, she married Thomas Cornelio at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. They made their home and raised their family on the Crash Road in Jay.

She and her husband were partners and part owners of the T.J.’s Store in Livermore for 12 years and most recently she was employed by the Otis Federal Credit Union in Jay for the last three years.

Patty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always looked forward to spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of Jay; two sons, Scott Cornelio and his companion, Susan Benson, of Brunswick, and Sean Cornelio and his wife, Anne-Marie, of Jay; a brother, Richard Roy and his wife, Judy, of Jay; a sister-in-law, Cleo Roy, of Jay; two grandchildren, Matthew and Lauren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, and a brother, Paul Roy, who passed away in 1996.
