Dear Sun Spots: Recently there was an infomercial on a book called “Natural Cures: What They Don’t Want You To Know.”
It is not available in any bookstore. I was not able to get the address or phone number and I am hoping you can please help me. Thank you in advance for your time concerning this request. – No Name, No Town.
Answer: Sun Spots believes the book you are seeking is written by Kevin Trudeau who is touted as fast becoming the nation’s foremost consumer advocate. According to www.calcompnutrition.com, Trudeau has adopted as both his business and personal mission statement a vow to “positively impact the whole person.” The book talks about the reasons you are sick and how the American Medical Association, Federal Trade Commission, the Food and Drug Administration, and the pharmaceutical cartels are suppressing information about natural remedies and natural cures for virtually every disease. You can order this online at the above Web site or by calling 1(877) 919-9992. You can also order it via post at CalComp Nutrition, 1511 Craig Drive, Suite 1, Irwin, PA 15642-1712.
Dear Sun Spots: Read your column every day and enjoy it very much.
My daughter was at a Chinese Auction at Fryeburg Academy gymnasium April 2. She won a knitted afghan, off white in color. I would like whoever made it to please send me the directions for making it. I can be reached at 27 Charles St., South Paris, ME 04281, (207) 743-7305. – M. Ames, South Paris.
Dear Sun Spots: Would anyone have a lightweight wheelchair they would be willing to sell for a reasonable price? This is for a young lady who weighs 110 pounds and has four incurable diseases, including sclerodema, and is unable to walk. Because of her short work history she does not qualify for Medicare and is uninsured. Thank you. Anyone who can help can please call Terry at (207) 782-0080. – Terry Roux, Lewiston.
Dear Sun Spots: Do you know how I can contact Dean Libby and/or Monique Giguere? They are the couple who were burned out of their Lewiston apartment in January.
I believe their pets died in this fire and that Dean was charged with disobeying police orders when he attempted to enter the burning building to rescue the animals.
I will watch for information Sunspots may have, and readers may contact me at [email protected]. Thank you – Concerned reader, Mexico.
Answer: Sun Spots does not have a contact for this couple. Perhaps other readers out there may be willing to share a contact number or address for the couple.
Dear Sun Spots: To the reader who sought the flower cart with “Parisian flare:” As I was driving through Lisbon Falls recently, I noticed a small cart that fit the description at the former church-turned-antiques-dealer. It seemed to be on display as an item for sale, but I was unable to stop and inquire. The telephone number for the shop is 353-5326. – No Name, No Town.
