LOWELL, Mass. (AP) – Brent Krahn made 39 saves and Mike Commodore had a goal and an assist to lift the Lowell Lock Monsters to a 3-0 win over the Portland Pirates.

Krahn’s shutout was his sixth of the season, his second against Portland, and was Lowell’s 12th overall.

Mike Zigomanis set up Chuck Kobasew in the slot at 13:48 of the second period as the Lock Monsters took a 1-0 lead.

Commodore deflected a pass from Colin Forbes into the net on the power play to make it 2-0 at 8:19 of the third period. Commodore then set up Brantt Myhres for a back-hander in front at 17:59 of the third.
