LEWISTON – Joseph H. Marshall has been promoted to senior software support specialist at Geiger.
The announcement was made by John Parent, technical infrastructure manager of the Information Technology Department.
Marshall began working at Geiger in September 2001 as the desktop software support specialist. His duties include managing all software licensing of Geiger’s personal computers and servers. He provides software and hardware support for all personal computers, develops computer databases and Web site databases, and manages Geiger’s Microsoft Server Query Language on its Web servers in Maryland. He has led special projects pertaining to technology enhancements and conducted software training for Geiger.
Marshall is Microsoft Access Level I & II certified as well as Microsoft Server Query Language Administration certified. He has received numerous Geiger Quality Customer Service awards and is a recent recipient of the prized Geiger Team Star Award.
He was born in Stoughton, Mass., moved to Norway, Maine, at an early age and has lived in Lewiston for the past two years with his wife and two children. Marshall is a member of the Great Falls Model Railroad Club.
