AUGUSTA – Two Maine food industry membership groups will hold annual meetings simultaneously in Augusta on Tuesday, affording an opportunity for joint sessions and networking.

The Maine Grocers Association and the Maine Gourmet & Specialty Food Producers will bring together value-added food producers and community grocers for a daylong conference called Taste of Success. The conference will be in the Augusta Civic Center.

The full-day Taste of Success schedule will include educational discussions, specialized workshops, a networking reception and on-site business assistance.

At the end of the day, a reception will give grocers a chance to sample the latest in Maine value-added foods and talk to food producers about their products.

Information on the conference is available at www.mainesbdc.org. People can click on “special events” for agenda and registration details.
