AUBURN – Elsie B. McNeil, 82, of Minot Avenue, died Sunday, April 24, with her family by her side at Clover Manor.

Born in Sanford, Oct. 23, 1922, the daughter of Ernest and Beatrice (Smith) Brook. She was educated in the Sanford school system and graduated from Sanford High School, Class of 1941.

She was a past-member of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Sanford and on May 29, 1942, she married Mr. Leslie McNeil.

She enjoyed playing her piano and singing.

She leaves her husband of almost 63 years, Leslie McNeil, of Auburn; a daughter, Joan Weston and her husband, Dennis, of Auburn; one sister, Carole Pike and her husband, John, of Livermore; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one brother, Ralph Brook.
