If your cable system carries the Food Network, you can pretty much spend every day with the super-perky Rachael Ray. Just this week, new episodes and repeats of her three shows will take up 15 full hours of the network’s schedule.

Should that still not be enough Ray for you, take heart: The “30 Minute Meals”/”Inside Dish”/”$40 a Day” host and prolific cookbook author will soon be available in magazine form.

The Reader’s Digest Association announced Monday that it’s launching Every Day with Rachael Ray, a lifestyle magazine that aspires to capture the same burgeoning audience that has made Real Simple a big seller. The magazine will center on food but also include tips on travel and entertaining and profiles of chefs, home cooks and foodie celebrities.

“My television programs have one thing in common – the can-do factor,” says Ray, who will serve as editor-in-chief of Every Day. “… I’m pleased to be working with such a talented and passionate team of professionals, all dedicated to creating a totally original food magazine that embraces that can-do attitude. Our magazine is about much more than great food. It will help readers take a big bite out of life.”

The $3.99 magazine is set to debut in late August with an initial distribution of 650,000 copies, according to The New York Times. It will be bimonthly at first, with a goal of expanding to 10 issues per year by mid-2006.
