LISBON FALLS – Brett E. Morong Sr., of 10 Dumas St., died Wednesday, April 27, at home with family.
Son of Ralph and Marion Morong, he was a graduate of Lisbon High School, Class of 1958. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1961 as a radioman aboard the USS Saratoga and the USS Currituck in the Mediterranean Sea and Far East.
He retired from Masonite Corp. in 2002. He was a member of Lisbon Falls Fire Department, Slovak Catholic Association, Masonic Lodge 155, AMVET Post 13, AARP and West Bowdoin Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife and soul mate, Cheryl, whom he married in 1980; two sons, Dewey and wife, Danielle, and Brett Jr., and wife, Jessica; five grandchildren, Reece, Abigail, Julianne, Michaela and Justin, all of Lisbon; two sisters, Rae Doboga of Lisbon Falls and Muriel Corey of Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews.
He is sadly missed by those who loved him.
