AUBURN – Marguerite Louise Moulin Pendleton Nichols, died of emphysema under hospice care on April 29, at the Chapman House.

She was born Aug. 25, 1916, the daughter of Arthur and Marie (Noel) Moulin. She was an avid reader, world traveler and music lover.

Her varied jobs included factory worker, waitress, food service at Auburn Home for Aged Women, Extension Service, Good Shepherd Food-Bank and the task force as a social worker, the latter being her favorite as she enjoyed helping people.

Her later years were spent at Chapman House, where she was given incredible love and care. Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice provided compassionate and thoughtful support during her illness.

She is survived by a son, Mark Pendleton and his wife, Kathryn, of Auburn; a daughter, Diane Crandall of Berwick; brothers, Lucien and Roland of Auburn; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by husbands, Brian Noble Pendleton and Don Nichols; sons, Brian Noble Pendleton Jr., and Stephen Pendleton; a brother, Noel; and a sister, Lucille Moulin.
