AUGUSTA – An expected 2,000 cyclists will set off from Sunday River Ski Resort in Bethel in the American Lung Association of Maine’s 21st annual Trek Across Maine – Sunday River to the Sea on Friday, June 17.

Supported by more than 300 volunteers, the cyclists will cover 180 miles over the three-day ride, culminating at Snow Marine Park, Rockland, on Sunday, June 19.

The trek is expected to raise more than $1.2 million to support the lung association’s efforts. For more information or to register, people should visit www.mainelung.org or call 1-800-499-5864.

Trial and Error

LEWISTON – The next two Trial and Error meetings will be held at the Lewiston Public Library from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, May 3 and 31.

The group is seeking retrial for Dennis Dechaine.

Commencement

BANGOR – Bill Green of Cumberland, will be the guest speaker at the 23rd annual commencement exercises of the New England School of Communications, an affiliate of Husson College, Saturday, May 14.

Green’s 30-year television career spans the medium from sportscaster to documentary producer.

The ceremonies are scheduled for 4 p.m. at Newman Gym on the Husson campus.
