RUMFORD – Susan Gayle Marcoux, 53, of Prospect Avenue, Rumford, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 4, at Rumford Community Hospital.
She was born in Rumford on Aug. 1, 1951, a daughter of Frank and Theresa (Knauer) Waznis.
She was educated in Rumford schools, and was a graduate of Rumford High School.
She lived in central Connecticut for several years, and was employed in the insurance business.
She enjoyed cooking, caring for her cats and her dog, Mare, and spending time with her beloved family.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her wit and making people smile.
She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Marcoux, of Ansonia, Conn.; her father, Frank Waznis, of Rumford; three sisters, Faylene Austin of Rumford, Dorothea Cayer and her husband, Fernand, of Rumford, and Melissa Blaisdell of Lewiston; brothers, Gerald Locke and wife, Shirley, of Saco, George Locke of Mastic Long Island, N.Y., John Locke and wife, Jane, of Chelmsford, Mass., Peter Waznis and wife, Joanne, of Hamden, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, James Waznis; and her mother, Theresa.
