LEWISTON – Elizabeth “Beth” A. Lyons, 48, a resident 35 Wood St., died unexpectedly Thursday, May 12, in Lewiston.

She was born in Lewiston, Jan. 15, 1957, the daughter of James T. and Claire (Lebel) Lyons Jr. She attended Lewiston schools, was a 1975 graduate of Lewiston High School, and a graduate of the former Mid-State College in Auburn and the University of Southern Maine in Portland.

After college she worked in various areas of banking in California, Arizona and Maine. Most recently, she was employed with TD Banknorth in the internal auditing department.

Her interests included golfing, skiing and her involvement with the Big Brothers-Big Sisters program.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church.

Survivors include her mother, Claire of Lewiston; three siblings, James T. (Jay) Lyons III, of Mesa, Ariz., Donna Egyed and her husband, John, of Brentwood, Tenn., and Stephen C. Lyons and his wife, Brenda, of Mansfield, Mass.; four nieces, Samantha, Allie and Stephanie Lyons, and Laura Egyed; and one nephew, Alex Egyd.

She was predeceased by her father, James T. Lyons Jr., in June of 2001.
