LEWISTON – Frederick E. Small, 52, of North New Portland, passed away on Sunday, May 15, of kidney failure at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
He was a 1972 graduate of Hampden Academy and attended Husson College.
He was a chef at Paul’s Restaurant in Bangor in the 1980s, and at Crescent Court and the Doubletree Inn of Spokane, Wash., in the 1990s, before moving back to Maine in 2003 following retirement.
He was a man who is well remembered by all for his joyful demeanor, constant smile and quick laugh.
Survivors include two sisters, Dale MacAlpine of Verona and Tina Holsomback of Shreveport, La.; three nephews, Wayne Hutchinson of Orland, Shawn Hutchinson of Verona and Dave Holsomback of Bath; a niece, Angel Seibert of Bucksport; and his loving wife, Jenna Small, of North New Portland.
He was predeceased by his adopted daughter, Katie Seamon in 1994; and his parents, Pearl and Alonzo Small of Winterport.
