NEW VINEYARD – The New Vineyard Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the Historical Room. Videotapes of historical interest will be shown. All are welcome. June through August the Historical Room will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays for those interested in searching the files.

EMS open houses

FARMINGTON – In conjunction with National Emergency Medical Services Week, NorthStar Emergency Medical Services will host an open house at each of its five base locations from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 19.

NorthStar is the regional EMS program that includes bases in Rangeley, Carrabassett Valley, Phillips, Farmington and Livermore and serves a population of 40,000 over a 2,200 square mile area.

Bag fund-raiser

FARMINGTON – The first ever Bag Ali will be held as a fund-raiser sponsored by the Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. A summer collection of handbags and accessories will be on sale from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, May 23 and 24, in the hospital lobby. The sale is open to the public.
