On Thur., May 5, the Poland Mid-Knights had their first track meet in Falmouth! Actually, this was supposed to be their second meet, but due to inclement weather their first meet in Old Orchard was canceled and then re-scheduled.
All of the athletes participated in at least one event. For Elm Street School, Ethan Lee raced in the 100m sprint. Nate Williams ran the 800m, threw the shot-put, and ran the 4x400m relay. Matt York jumped the long jump, hurled the discus, and ran the 200m sprint. Richard Griffiths ran the 4x400m relay, jumped the long jump, and ran the 200m sprint. Alexa Doyer ran the 4x100m relay, threw the shot-put, and hurled the discus.
The ladies relay team came in first with a school record beating time. All of the runners did an exceptional job, the jumpers were unbeatable, and the throwers were fabulous.
The next track meet for the Poland Mid-Knights was Thur., May 12 hope you went to encourage an athlete to show your support!
