PORTLAND – For the second consecutive day and seventh time this season, Tuesday night’s game between the Portland Sea Dogs and Binghampton Mets was postponed due to rain.

A make-up date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Sea Dogs general manager Charlie Eshbach made the decision on yesterday afternoon. The Sea Dogs were already scheduled to play a doubleheader today (weather permitting) due to Monday’s postponement.

Tuesday’s rainout is the seventh postponement at Hadlock this season, setting a new franchise record for rainouts in a single season, despite the fact that the team is only a third of the way through the season. Through 24 days in the month of May, only seven have been rain-free.
