DANVILLE, Ill. – Robert J. Bailey, 68, of Albuquerque, N.M., died May 23, at Provena United Hospital in Danville, Ill.

He was born in La Salle, Ill., on Dec. 24, 1936, the son of Edna and James Bailey.

He was a Korean War veteran in the U.S. Navy and a retired union carpenter. He was a proud member of the VFW and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Madelyn F. Bailey, of Minot; sister, Anna Brodeau of Glendora, Calif.; four daughters, Aimee Bailey of Minot, Catherine Specht of Glendora, Calif., Deborah Czuprynski of Yelm, Wash., and Lisa Kimzey of Turlock, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Coyhis of Wisconsin; and a brother, Joseph Bailey of California.
