AUGUSTA – Lucelia “Lucy” Mae Lord Dodge Hamel, 73, of Hall Dale Manor in Farmingdale, formerly of Lewiston, died Friday morning, May 27, at the Maine General Medical Center in Augusta.

She was born in Otisfield on Dec. 31, 1931, a daughter of Orrin and Gladys Cash Lord.

Lucy had been employed at Market Square Nursing Home in South Paris, Falcon Rule in Lewiston and at a sled factory in South Paris, making toboggan slats.

She enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking homemade pies and breads and was a graduate of Woodstock High School.

She is survived by her first husband, Donovan A. Dodge Sr., of South Paris; two sons, Donovan A Dodge Jr. of South Paris, and James O. Dodge of Lewiston; her brother, Robert Lord of Colorado; her sister, Elvira Phaneuf of Florida; granddaughter, Deborah Lynn Dodge of West Paris; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Lue, her brother, Orrin (Pat) Lord Jr., her brother, Albert Lord and her second husband, David Hamel.
