LEWISTON – Dale S. Magoon, 70, of Dixfield, passed away on Sunday, May 29, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, with his family by his side.
He was born on Sept. 19, 1934, the son of Clayton H. Magoon and Lelia Mae Magoon.
He was raised in Dixfield and attended Dixfield High School. He was an avid sports fan and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He retired in 1996 from Boise Cascade after 41 years of service.
In 1959, Dale married Joanne Sampson in Turner.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne, of Dixfield; two daughters, Tina of Dixfield, and Deanna and her husband, Kevin Leavitt, of Buckfield; brother, Richard Magoon and wife, Cindy, of Jay; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Rita Magoon; two brothers, Harland and Clayton Magoon; and his parents.
