FARMINGTON – Frances N. Haggan, 78, of Farmington, died early Monday morning, June 6, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
She was born in Strong, Dec. 9, 1926, a daughter of Alton and Emma (Dickey) Ladd Sr. She received her education in Strong schools and later attended nursing school in Augusta.
She worked at Forster Manufacturing Co., for several years and later was a personal companion of Currier and Rosa Holman for several years, until her retirement.
She enjoyed beano, horse racing, crocheting, puzzles, gardening, watching birds and other wildlife, shopping, and visiting her children and grandchildren. She always looked forward to her yearly trips to the ocean for lobster.
She is survived by her children, Butch and his wife, June, of Wilton, Barry and his wife, Janis, of Lewiston, Michael and his wife, Vicki, of Farmington, and JoAnn Lesperance and her husband, Fred, of Industry; two brothers, Jake and Connie; two sisters, Dianna and Glennis; grandchildren, Karen, Kelly, Matt, Jon, Erica, Nathan, and Rocky; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Colby, Kyle and Shania.
She was predeceased by a sister and three brothers.
