WINTHROP – Winnifred Mae Lee Eames, 92, a longtime resident of River Road in Livermore, died Sunday, June 5, at Heritage Nursing Home where she had been a patient for 18 months.

She was born in Weston, on March 2, 1913, the daughter of Amos J. and Leola Daggett Lee. She was a graduate of Maine Central Institute, AMHI School of Nursing and Lowell General Hospital School of Nursing in Lowell, Mass.

She was married to William Stearns in 1941, until his death in 1944. On May 19, 1947, she married Clifton Eames in Livermore. He passed away on Nov. 27, 1975.

She worked at Parkview Nursing Home in Livermore Falls and for many years was employed by Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, where she retired.

She was a member of the North Livermore Baptist Church, the Charity Rebekah Lodge 46 and the Kings Daughters and Sons.

She is survived by a daughter, Leola E. Keene of Livermore; a son, Charles Eames and his wife, Margaret, of Oak Island, N.C.; a sister, Elma L. Davis of Fairfield; a brother, Ralph A. Lee and his wife, Dot, of Albion; sisters-in-law, Phyllis and Beatrice Lee, and Ethel Baker; two stepsisters, Phyllis Perkins of Albion and Juanita Joseph of Dexter; and grandchildren, Carla and Matthew Keene of Livermore.

She was predeceased by brothers, Ellis, Errol, Ansol, and Frank Lee and his wife, Millie.
