WEST PARIS – The Finnish American Heritage Society will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at the Heritage Center, Maple Street. After the business meeting, a varied program by members will be presented. A coffee social will follow. Members are reminded to wear club costumes at this last meeting of the season. A welcome is extended to all interested in attending.
Annual auction
NORWAY – Rotary and Kiwanis organizations are joining forces for a weekend of “FUN”d-raising. The annual auction will be held Friday and Saturday, July 8 and 9.
Every year the donations received from the community enable the clubs to sponsor free community programs, including the Bicycle Rodeo and May Day Play Day, a combined service organization event. Other programs include Right Start, Dollars for Scholars, the senior picnic and Project Graduation.
The groups are seeking donations of good quality, clean, new and used items for the auction. Donations may be delivered to the old Cummings Mill in Norway from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 18. Anyone who needs to schedule a pick-up should call 743-7753.
