WISCASSET – Nextel Cup driver Ken Schrader has agreed to make an appearance at Wiscasset Raceway and race with the track’s Late Model Sportsman class Saturday, July 16, track owner/promoter David St Clair said in a statement.

With NASCAR rolling into Louden, N.H., that weekend for the first of its two yearly stops, Schrader will hop a flight to the midcoast region and join the action.

Track vice president Tammy Reynolds says that details of Schrader’s visit are still being solidified, but she expects that he will have some practice time and sit down for a meet-and-greet autograph session with fans prior to the scheduled 6 p.m. start. He will then join the Late Model Sportsman division for their regular heats and 30 lap feature.

Reynolds said that in order to help keep Schrader on his tight schedule, the LMS feature will go early at 7 p.m.
