PORTLAND – Lisa C. Kavanaugh, FACHE, has joined Community Dental, a nonprofit organization with five dental health centers in southern and western Maine, as executive director.

Kavanaugh has many years of experience as a health care administrator in Maine, including the Riverview Psychiatric Center in Augusta, where she was superintendent/CEO from 2001 to 2004, and MaineGeneral Health, where she was senior leader from 1987-2000.

William J. Thompson and JoAnne P. Campbell have been elected to the board of directors.

Thompson has more than 40 years of experience in health care analysis, planning and management, and has served as chief executive officer of several community hospitals.

Campbell is commercial lender/vice president at TD Banknorth in Auburn. She has served as treasurer of the Androscoggin Head Start board of directors and on numerous community boards, including the United Way of Androscoggin County and the YWCA of Central Maine.
