SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Edward F. Leger, 67, died peacefully with his wife, Andrina, by his side on Monday, June 20, of lung cancer.

Born in Lewiston, Oct. 29, 1937, the son of Edwin and Loretta (Dumont) Leger, he lived in San Marcos, Calif., for 26 years.

He retired in 1988 from Mitsubishi Bank. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in San Marcos, Calif., and the Knights of Columbus. After his retirement, he became a well-known locksmith.

He is survived by his wife, Andrina, of San Marcos; daughter, Gail Zavala and her husband, Ralph, their children, Erik and wife, Natalie, and great-grandchildren, Emma, Victoria and Stephanie of Gilbert, Ariz..; six brothers, Kenneth and wife, Betty-Joe, of Little Rock, Ark., twin brother, Edwin of Lewiston, Bruce and wife, Mary Ann, of Biloxi, Miss., Paul and wife, Myra, of Newport News, Va., Lynn and wife, Jaqueline, of Lewiston, and Dennis and wife, Giselle, of Manchester, N.H.; and two sisters, Lydia Gilbert and husband, Gene, of Lewiston, and Karen Parent and husband, Louie, of Sabattus.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert; and sister-in-law, Venise of Lewiston.
