BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Certificates of achievement were awarded to 1,336 Lehigh University students who were named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2005 semester. Lesley College

CAMBRIDGE – Lesley College is pleased to announce that Michelle Scribner of Farmington, has been awarded the Lesley Scholarship. The Lesley Scholarship is a $24,000 academic scholarship awarded over four years, and is given to students who have demonstrated excellence in a rigorous high school curriculum. Scribner will graduate from Mt. Blue High School this year and intends to pursue a degree in Education.

Union College

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Meghan Webster, a Union College Class of 2005 neuroscience major, presented at the college’s 15th annual Steinmetz Symposium, a showcase of student creative, scholarly, and research achievements on May 6 and 7. Webster, a resident of Auburn, is a 2001 graduate of Hebron Academy. She presented on “Self-Effacing Effects.”

Plymouth State

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Plymouth State University celebrated its 134th commencement on Saturday, May 21, presenting diplomas to 692 graduates. PSU President Donald P. Wharton conferred bachelor of fine arts, bachelor of arts, bachelor of science and associate of arts degrees upon the graduates. Among those receiving their diplomas were: Michelle Dubois, James Gaylord IV, James Miller IV of Auburn; Callie Giroux of Hartford; Greg Sutherland, Matthew Toutain of Lewiston.

Quinnipiac

HAMDEN, Conn. – The following local residents graduated on May 22, from Quinnipiac University: Jenny Morissette from Auburn, Kara Brawn from Bowdoin. The following local students were named to Quinnipiac University Dean’s List: Joseph Dumais from Auburn, Sarah Nadeau from Auburn, Lauren St. Laurent from Lewiston.

Roanoke College

SALEM, Va. – Local area students were named to the faculty’s list of honorable mention for the 2005 spring term at Roanoke College. Ashley Elizabeth Nesbit of Bowdoin; Sheri Lee Lauten of Poland. In order to be named to the list, a student must be enrolled in at least four units during the term and earn a grade point average between 3.00 and 3.49 in those courses, with no grade lower than a “C.”

Rensselaer

TROY, N.Y. – Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has announced the names of students who made the Institute’s dean’s list for the spring semester. The dean’s list recognizes full-time students who maintain grade-point averages of a minimum of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 and have no grades below “C.”
