LEWISTON – Robert A. Bilodeau, 91, of Marshall Avenue, Auburn, died Saturday, July 16, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Lewiston, March 8, 1914, the son of Alphonse and Leone Jolicoeur Bilodeau. He was educated in Lewiston schools and was married Feb. 28, 1953 in Rumford, to Barbara E. Denholm.
He was employed with St. Johnsbury Trucking Co., for 30 years, winning many safe driving awards.
He attended the Auburn Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, woodworking, building various items and helping his neighbors.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Auburn; two daughters, Polly A. Ward and her husband, Neil, of Thomaston, and Marie McDonald of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sons, David E. Bilodeau and his wife, Linda, of West Poland, James R. Bilodeau and his partner, Lee Marquis, of Freeport, and Robert P. Bilodeau and his wife, Doris, of Winthrop and New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Fernande Bilodeau; and a brother, Bertrand Bilodeau.
