CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – Public Service Company of New Hampshire crews still were working to restore power in several communities Thursday after severe thunderstorms passed through the state.

About 6,800 people were without electricity at the height of the storms Wednesday afternoon and evening. Outages still were being reported in a handful of towns Thursday, but officials expected the lights to be back on later in the day.

The storm toppled trees and power lines in southern New Hampshire and blew a mobile home off its foundation in Bethlehem. It also sparked a fire in the attic of a Hudson home. No one was injured.
