AUBURN – Doris Isabell Rideout, 99, formerly of 20 Great Falls Plaza, died peacefully Tuesday, July 26, at the Bolster Heights Health Care Facility, where she lived for the past five years.

She was born in Auburn, June 29, 1906, the only daughter of Frank and Ida Dicker Leclair. She graduated with the Class of 1925 from Edward Little High School.

She was employed as a general office worker and payroll clerk working at Shapiro Bros., G.A. Peterson and Bates College, before retiring in 1970.

She was a member of the High Street Congregational Church since 1925, the Parish Guild, First Auburn Senior Citizens, Robin Dow Senior Citizens, Helen Hughes Club and several bridge clubs.

She enjoyed traveling, card games, word puzzles, reading and winter sports.

She will be missed by her parish family at High Street Congregational Church, extended family and caregivers at Bolster Heights who treated her so kindly, and her friends and visitors. Her close friends, Nancy, Donna and Barbara will remember the wonderful memories she shared with them as she reminisced about her life.
