PARIS – The Oxford Hills Middle School Physical Education Department presented T-shirts to students who earned the Presidential Award in the President’s Challenge Fitness Test in grades four, seven, eight, nine and 10.

The local Healthy Maine Partnership Program, through the Tobacco Grant, coordinated by Jen Cash, made it possible. The fitness test consists of the shuttle run for agility, curl-ups for muscular endurance, sit and reach for flexibility, mile run for cardiovascular endurance and either pull-ups, flexed arm hang or right angle push-ups for muscular strength.

Students earning the Presidential Award for scoring in the 85 percentile or higher in all areas were:

Grade seven: Tanesha Onofrio, Eric Henderson.
