WILTON – The annual Blueberry Festival 10-kilometer and one-mile road race will be held on Friday, Aug. 5, as part of the annual Wilton celebration. Registration for the runs will begin at 5 p.m. at Kineowatha Park.
The one-mile run for ages 15 and under will begin at 6 p.m. by the park entrance, with the finish in front of the memorial in downtown Wilton.
The 10-kilometer race will begin at 6:30 p.m. by St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and will circle Wilson Lake, finishing beside the Wilton Historical Society. Walkers are welcome for either event.
Awards for the top finishers in several age groups will be presented in both races. A limited number of commemorative T-shirts are available to those who preregister.
The fee is $8 for the one-mile and $10 for the 10-k and can be sent to Steve Russell at 140 Hammond Road in Farmington.
Registration the day of the event is $12 for the 10k. Checks are made payable to Wilton Blueberry Festival. For more information, call 778-3440.
