LISBON – David M. Delehanty, 62, of Lisbon, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 30, at his home.

He was born June 2, 1943, a son of William and Marjorie (Mann) Delehanty. He was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this area.

He was a veteran of the military, having served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He had been employed for several years and was still currently working at the time of his death for Harry C. Crooker Co., in Topsham, as a truck driver and equipment operator.

Among his favorite enjoyments in his free time were going to Foxwoods Resort Casino, playing bingo and scratching instant lottery tickets. He was also into cars and had an avid interest in auto racing.

He was a very helpful guy who was always willing to help anyone with anything, while asking for nothing in return.

He leaves a son, Dennis Delehanty of Lisbon; his mother, Marjorie Mann of Lewiston; a sister, Kathy Delehanty; and a brother, Michael Delehanty of Oxford.

He was predeceased by his father, William Delehanty.
