LEWISTON – Cecile Dubois, 90, of 41 Pleasant St., Auburn, died Monday, Aug. 1, at d’Youville Pavilion, following a short illness.

She was born in Madawaska, on July 19, 1915, the daughter of Joseph and Edith (Derosier) Cyr, and had been a resident of this community most of her life. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker all of her life.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Auburn Senior Citizens and the Ladies of St. Anne of Holy Family Church.

She enjoyed doing crafts, knitting and sewing, and loved to play beano and cards.

She was married to Eric E. Dubois on June 26, 1937; he died on June 3, 1977.

She is survived by seven sons, Frank Dubois and his wife, Linda, of Jackman, Roger Dubois and his wife, Pauline, of Auburn, Normand Dubois and his wife, Viola, of Lewiston, Gilles Dubois and his wife, Mildred, of Pennsylvania, Rene Dubois and his wife, Barbara, of Lisbon, Paul Dubois and his wife, Cheryl, of Connecticut, and Marc Dubois of Lewiston; two daughters, Claudette Bell of Sabattus, and Pauline Blanchette and her husband, Roger, of Sabattus; four half brothers, Gerry Rossignol and his wife, Marie, of Lewiston, Patrick Rossignol and his wife, Evelyn, of North Carolina, Claude Rossignol of Auburn, and Brother Camille Rossignol of Framingham, Mass.; four half sisters, Simmone Cote of Lisbon, Elsie Anctil and her husband, Larry, of Connecticut, Bernice Brousseau and her husband, Dick, of Lewiston, and Jeanne Anctil of Auburn; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one son, Alyre Dubois, who died Dec. 9, 1992; and by three brothers.
