Meeting notice

LIVERMORE – Brettun’s Pond Association will meet Wednesday, Aug. 10, for a 5:30 p.m. potluck supper at the Brettun’s Community Building. Code Enforcement Officer Richard Marble will be on hand to answer questions.

Special meeting

FARMINGTON – Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold a special board meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the USDA Service Center at 107 Park St. The meeting is open to the public. Sunday reunion

WILTON – The class of 1965 of Wilton Academy will hold its reunion at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, at the lakeside home of Linda Parlin Taylor. Direction signs will be posted on the Weld Road, Route l56.

Everyone is reminded to bring a potluck item for lunch, lawn chairs, canoes, kayaks, beach items and an item for the auction. Questions should be directed to Linda Parker Abbott by calling 441-7348 and leave a message/number.

Hospital reunion

FARMINGTON – A reunion for everyone who worked at the old Franklin County Memorial Hospital (prior to May 1, 1975) will be held Friday, Aug. 12, at Deer Crossing Apartments, located .9 of a mile from the courthouse on Anson Street.

A potluck lunch will be held at noon and the room will be open soon after 10 a.m. Spouses and friends of employees are welcome to attend.

Making bread

JAY – A bread-making class will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Jay Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Using whole grains, the class will teach traditional and bread-machine baking methods. Betty McConnachie and Valerie Jacobs will instruct the free class.

The church is located across from the car wash on the corner of Oak Street and Route 4.
