OXFORD – Members and friends of the Oxford Hills Chapter, AARP, recently took a trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia, for the International Tattoo performance.
The Aug. 25 trip to Cabbage Island is sold out. The Sept. 14 trip will be to a matinee performance of “Confessions of a Dirty Blonde” at the Lakewood Summer Theater near Skowhegan. A buffet lunch before the performance is included in the $56 trip price.
The Oct. 12 foliage trip will be to Lake Winnipesaukee for a two-hour cruise on the Mt. Washington. Lunch will be at Hart’s Turkey Farm followed by a scenic return to Oxford. The cost including the cruise and lunch is $56 a person.
Plans are being made for a three-day trip in early April to Quebec City for a sugar shack party, shopping and tour. The cost will be around $325/pp.
A five-day trip to Prince Edward Island is planned for July 2006. The cost will be about $675/per person.
