LISBON – A 17-year old Lisbon girl sustained multiple injuries in a single-car crash late Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Route 9 and Webster Road.

The teen, who was driving alone, was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Police Officer Jeff Picard said the young woman suffered head injuries, two broken ribs and a fractured pelvis and was admitted to the hospital. He declined to identify her because of her age.

Picard said she was driving south on Route 9 and was making a right turn onto Webster Road when her car slid into a pole on the driver’s side. The force of the impact cracked the pole. The blue 2001 Chevrolet Impala she was driving was demolished in the 4:55 p.m. mishap. No charges will be filed, Officer Picard said.
