LEWISTON – Danielle Taylor, 14, youth outreach worker for the faith-based nonprofit organization The Jesus Party, will host the ministries’ 10th annual back to school party at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at 291 Bates St.
She will perform a mini concert with the theme, Hallelujah Hop. She has taken ’50s and ’60s rock and roll songs and changed the lyrics to be spiritually uplifting for a children’s church atmosphere. Refreshments will be provided to all in attendance. Back to school supplies will be given as prizes. For information, call 786-5568. Transportation is available.
Taylor will be promoting good behavior throughout the school year by offering a pizza and ice cream party for all youth who produce satisfactory behavior on their report cards.
Children who qualify will be rewarded at the end of each quarter.
Taylor, who is beginning her first year at Lewiston High School, is a Daisy Sponsor for the Missionettes Program at the Assemblies of God Church.
