WALES – Justin Plourde booted a pair of goals to pace Oak Hill to a 3-1 KVAC victory over Belfast in boys’ soccer action Wednesday.
David Hanlon also scored for the Raiders (1-1). Mike Eaton made seven saves in goal for the win.
Evan Hutchins notched the Lions’ lone goal in the second half. Eric Kelly handled netkeeping duties, turning away 13 shots.
Lake Region 7, Poland 2
POLAND – Aaron Chase and Todd Shigo netted two goals apiece to lead Lake Region to a 7-2 victory over Poland in a WMC boys’ soccer matchup Wednesday.
Brian Poulin, Brandon Chase and Brandon Webb also tallied for the Lakers (1-1). Evan Thurlow needed just three saves to notch the win.
McKenzie Cook and Joe Murphy recorded goals for the Knights (0-2), while Brandon Brown contributed with an assist. Jason Depalma and Matt Hernandez combined for 28 saves.
