AUBURN – Autumn Bell dominated the game, scoring all five goals for St. Doms as the Saints defeated Poland 5-2 in a girls’ soccer matchup on Saturday.

Goaltender Katie Lyon made five saves for the Saints (4-2-1). Brianna Pratte and Cortney Clark netted a goal apiece for Poland.

Georges Valley 3, Lisbon 0

THOMASTON – Desiree Smith scored a goal and had an assist as Georges Valley remained undefeated with a 3-0 victory over Lisbon in girls’ soccer action on Saturday.

Nicole Poland found the back of the net on a pass from Selina Staples, while Hannah Yovino also scored for the Buccaneers (7-0). Chelsie Eugley made seven stops to earn the shutout for Georges Valley.

Dirigo 3, Winthrop 0

DIXFIELD – Katie Hutchinson netted a pair of first-half goals to power Dirigo to a 3-0 victory over Winthrop in a a girls’ soccer contest on Saturday.

Melissa Harvey scored a goal and added an assist for Dirigo (5-2-1). Erica St. Pierre and Katherine Gagne each had an assist for the Cougars.

Dirigo’s Lanette Bryant and Christina Chow combined for 10 saves and the shutout. Katie Pushard made 12 saves for Winthrop (4-3-1).

Leavitt 3, Cony 2

TURNER – In a total team effort, Leavitt notched its first victory of the season with a 3-2 win over Cony in girls’ soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

The Hornets (1-6) scored twice in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into intermission.

Katherine Rothe, who had six saves, stepped up big during 15-minute offensive spurts in each half for the Rams (0-8). Meghan Rende, who scored both of Cony goals, applied some extreme pressure on Rothe during game intervals.

Lauren Metayer, Erin Paige and Amie Chaisson scored goals for Leavitt.

Lewiston 4, Erskine 0

LEWISTON – Laura Martel scored three goals and added an assist to lead Lewiston to a 4-0 victory over Erskine Academy in a girls’ soccer contest on Saturday.

Amanda Lepage also found the back of the net for the Blue Devils (6-2). Katie Cobb needed just four saves to preserve the shutout for Lewiston. All four of Lewiston’s goals came in the first half.

York 12, G-NG 0

YORK – Kellie Lajoie was red hot with four goals as York shelled Gray-New Gloucester 12-0 in girls’ soccer action on Saturday.

Lauren Blackburn contributed to the onslaught with three goals and two assists for the Wildcats. Liz Barton provided another goal and three assists.

Field hockey

Dirigo 2, Mountain Valley 1

DIXFIELD – Abby Fenstermacher found the back of the net with 58 seconds left in the game to give Dirigo a 2-1 victory over Mountain Valley in field hockey action on Saturday.

Dirigo’s (3-4) Holly Knight netted the first goal on a feed from Fenstermacher at the 13:56 mark of the first half.

Sarah Martin scored the game-tying goal for Mountain Valley unassisted at the 17:12 mark in the second half.

EL 1, Morse 0

BATH – Hannah Jacobs scored the only goal of the game on assists from Ally Butler and Breanna Wing with 18:23 left to give Edward Little a 1-0 victory over Morse in field hockey action on Saturday.

Edward Little (3-5) goalkeeper Mary Martin needed only four saves to earn the shutout. Dannielle Fontaine kept Morse (1-6-1) in the game with 11 saves in net.

Leavitt 2, Mt. View 1

TURNER – KateLyn Beeckel scored the game-winning goal on a pass from Jessica Paladino at the 3:39 mark in overtime to give Leavitt a 2-1 win against Mt. View in field hockey action on Saturday.

Mt. View had a 1-0 lead when Britney Bowden scored on a feed from Jenns Caler with 7:18 left in the second half.

Leavitt (7-1) tied the game when Lauren Doiron scored off a rebound less then two minutes later.

Lyndsey Cronin had an outstanding game in net for Mt. View (3-4-1) with 29 saves.

Brewster 6, Hebron 0

HEBRON – Kate Buesser nailed a pair of goals to lead Brewster Academy to a 6-0 shoutout over Hebron Academy in field hockey action on Saturday.

Brewster also received goals from Kelsey Gencross, Emily Lesko, Janna Anctil and Andrea Mullin.

Hebron goalie Marley Lumbard had 12 saves, while Teraysa White turned back five for Brewster.
