NORTH ANSON – Ryan Phillips scored his third goal of the game with 1:06 left in the first overtime to lift Winthrop to a 4-3 triumph over Carrabec.

Josh Violette, who assisted on all four Winthrop goals, took the corner kick and sent the ball just inside the box to Phillips, who gained dcontrol, turned and fired the ball past Carrabec keeper Hugo Laberti for the game-winner.

The hat trick was the first of the Rambler junior’s career.

Tim Gringras also scored for the Ramblers (3-7-1), who once led 3-1. Sam Shaw scored all three goals for Carrabec (3-7-1), including the tying goal on a direct kick from 25 yards out with 57 seconds to play.

Mike Gingras stopped 15 shots for Winthrop, including a Shaw penalty kick early in the game.

Mt. Abram 5, Livermore Falls 0

SALEM – Aaron Adams knocked home a pair of goals and added an assist to pace Mt. Abram to a 5-0 victory over Livermore Falls in MVC boys’ soccer action.

Adams netted the game’s first goal and closed the scoring with his second goal of the game. Ryan Dudman, Dillon Robinson, and Donald Chretien also scored for the Roadrunners (4-5-1).

Shawn Hodge stopped 15 shots for the Andies (0-10-1). Austin Thorndike and Wyatt Johnson combined for five saves for the shutout.

Leavitt 3, Oxford Hills 2

SOUTH PARIS – Kenny Maher found the back of the net 40 seconds into the second overtime to give Leavitt a 3-2 victory over Oxford Hills.

Nick Bergoin started the scoring for the Hornets (2-8) with an unassisted goal at the 33:43 mark of the first half. Goaltender Kevin Mulherrin made 16 saves for Leavitt.

Nick Castanzi netted both goals for Oxford Hills (0-10) in the first half. David LaRoach made 20 saves.

Georges Valley 1, Jay 0

JAY – Todd Cousin scored the game-winning goal six minutes into the second half off a rebound as Georges Valley escaped with a 1-0 victory over Jay.

Goaltender Jake Hall needed only five saves to pick up the shutout for Georges Valley (11-0-1).

Jay (3-9) goalkeeper Matt Roundy stopped nine shots.

Mt. Blue 4, Old Town 1

OLD TOWN – Devin Farrar broke open the game with a pair of second-half goals as Mt. Blue cruised to a 4-1 victory over Old Town.

Alex Lepage got the Cougars on the board to open the scoring, but Nate Lonko scored his school-record 15th goal of the season to knot the game at 1-1 with three minutes to play in the first half. Farrar’s two scores came five minutes apart in the second half. James Sawyer added an unassisted goal.

Justin Davis made 18 saves to preserve the win for the Cougars (6-4). Ethan Shanley had 16 saves for the Indians.
