FARMINGTON – Theodore E. “Ted” Diethrich, 61, of Strong, died Monday, Oct. 10, at the Sandy River Center for Health Care and Rehabilitation in Farmington.

He was born on April 24, 1944, in Latrobe, Pa., the son of Theodore H. and Loretta (Krepps) Diethrich. He earned his G.E.D. while in the U.S. Air Force. He served during the Vietnam War era.

He was an electrician and for a time was employed in the family business, ADCO, and later worked for private contractors. He enjoyed unraveling mysteries and especially enjoyed television shows like “C.S.I.” He was also interested in entomology and was a “trivia buff.” He was always ready and willing to help those less fortunate than himself.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Elva Tripp Diethrich, of Strong; his mother, Loretta K. Diethrich of Reno, Nev.; his son, Theodore E. Diethrich Jr., of Martinez, Calif.; two stepchildren, Jennifer Tripp and her companion, Ryan Racklift, of Farmington, and Stephen Tripp of Avon; one brother, Jim Diethrich of Biggs, Calif.; four sisters, Barb MacCameron of Reno, Nev., Nancy Harmon of Tucson, Ariz., and Kathy Diethrich and Sandy Lamon and her husband, Rob, all of Reno, Nev.; father-in-law, Gordon Tripp of Strong; two brothers-in-law, Herald Tripp and his wife, Gina, of Chesterville, and James Tripp and his wife, Barb, of Strong; sister-in-law, Willena Jennings and her husband, William, of Farmington; an aunt, Paddy Wilson and her husband, Daryl, of Strong; and numerous nieces and nephews.
